Commercial Office Design Summary

The Initial design CAD plans were created for 250 staff to work in a more organised, departmental layout.

In the existing premises, staff were separated from their department manager due to a company expansion, which meant they often had to be sited somewhere else. This dis-jointed team feeling was affecting productivity, and therefore action needed to be taken.

The responsibility of Rap Interiors was to manage the relocation and office refurbishment works for Commercial Services. This included branding changes, new furniture and space re-configuration to ensure further expansion and a more organised working layout.

During Works

Prior to the refurbishment works Rap were required to make mechanical & electrical adjustments. This was due to the layout of the existing pipe work runs which could have affected the new space configuration.

Rap also made changes to heating and cooling so that they were energy efficient. By speaking with consultants, it became apparent that we could save the client an extensive amount of money by refurbishing the Termodeck system in house. This saved the client in excess of £200,000.00.

During the process of the commercial office design some of the companies went through a re-branding, and therefore wanted to incorporate that into the office. Through implementing their signage on walls and advising on a brand-specific colour scheme, we were able to instill their company identity.

Within a four month time frame we were able to relocate 250 members of staff for Commercial Services. They now inhabit a space which is practical, aesthetically impressive and energy efficient.
