Rap Interiors Take Part in The Great Tommy Sleep Out 2025

Last year, Martyn was brave enough to take part in The Great Tommy Sleep Out in support of the RBLI. Despite the cold, wet night with only some carboard and a tarpaulin shelter, Martyn managed to stick it out and raised a fantastic £1,165.  This year the charity event is coming round again and he’s heading back again, but this time he’s taking Jim, our project manager, along with him.

The Great Tommy Sleep Out 2025

For one night, Martyn and Jim will be sleeping in a shelter under the stars, whatever the weather on Thursday 27th March 2025 at The Trenches in Detling Showground, replicating the experience that many of our nation’s heroes have to cope with on a nightly basis.

The Work of the RBLI

Currently, many veterans in the UK are facing homelessness, with numbers rising during the winter months. Royal British Legion Industries (RBLI) regularly sees an increase in veterans seeking support, often after enduring harsh weather, poor mental health, hunger, and the cold.
At RBLI, they provide vital support to over 340 veterans and their families, including those experiencing homelessness, young veteran families, and older veterans with health challenges. As home to the Tommy, RBLI offers emergency accommodation, essential toiletries, clothing, and comprehensive mental health and employment services. Their mission is to be a lifeline, safeguarding the well-being and dignity of veterans and their families.
